Privacy Policy

EverExpanding (“the App”) is provided by [Legal business name] (“Ever Expanding”, “we”, “us”), based in [City], Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, and the sign-in method you use (Google, Microsoft or email).
• Content you provide: photos of your retreat calendar and worksheets, and the goals, plans, ideas, notes and answers you enter or confirm in the App.
• Calendar access: if you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, we access your calendar only as described in Section 3.
• Technical information: basic device, browser and usage logs needed to keep the App secure and working, and notification settings if you turn on notifications.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to provide the App’s features to you:

• to read your photos and organize your plan
• to hold a conversation with you about your plan and confirm what was captured
• to create and update the calendar events you approve
• to send you sign-in emails and, if you enable them, notifications
• to keep the App secure, fix problems and support you

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers listed in Section 5.

3. Google user data

If you connect Google Calendar, the App requests permission to create, update and delete calendar events, and to view your list of calendars so you can choose where your events go.

• We use this access only to add, change or remove the events you approve in the App, and to undo them at your request.
• We do not read, store or analyze your other calendar events beyond what is needed to avoid duplicates and keep your approved events in sync.
• We do not share Google user data with AI providers, and we do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train any AI or machine-learning model.
• We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide the App’s features, to comply with law, or with your consent.

EverExpanding’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove EverExpanding’s access at any time in your Google Account settings (Security, then Third-party apps with account access) or from the App’s settings.

4. Microsoft user data

If you connect Microsoft Outlook, the same rules in Section 3 apply to your Microsoft calendar data. You can remove access at any time in your Microsoft account settings.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the App. They may process your information only on our behalf:

• Hosting: Netlify (United States)
• Database and file storage: Supabase, Canada region
• AI processing: OpenAI (United States), used to read your photos and power the in-app conversation. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models.
• Email delivery: [Email provider]

Your plan and photos are stored in Canada. Some processing (hosting and AI) happens in the United States, where it may be subject to US law.

6. Who can see your plan

Only you can see your plan, photos and conversations. Ever Expanding staff can see whether you have completed setup, but not the content of your plan, unless you ask us for help and give permission.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual photos or entries at any time, export your plan, or delete your account from the App’s settings or by emailing [privacy@everexpanding.ca]. When you delete your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

8. Security

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to what is needed to run the App, and calendar access tokens are stored encrypted.

9. Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, including Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, you can request access to or correction of your personal information, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at [privacy@everexpanding.ca].

10. Age

The App is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date and notify you in the App or by email before significant changes take effect.
